Guardian (장군상)

홍콩의 작은 사원 입구에서 마주한 장군상입니다. 그는 환영 대신 매서운 눈으로 그 너머를 응시합니다. 어떤 문은 통과하기 위해서가 아니라, 잠시 멈춰 내가 무엇을 지키는지 묻기 위해 존재합니다.

At a small temple in Hong Kong, I met a guardian. He does not welcome, but gazes sternly beyond. Some doors do not exist to be crossed; they stand to ask what we are so dearly protecting.
